February 5th, 2010UncategorizedCrytek co-founder Avni Yerli has joined the advisory board for this year's GDC Europe conference, which will be taking place just before gamescom in Cologne in August.
Yerli, who is the company's managing director, has overseen the growth of Crytek to over 470 staff members since it was formed in 1999, releasing Far Cry and Crysis along the way.
"I am flattered to have joined the GDC Europe advisory board and am looking forward to working with a talented group of advisors," said Yerli. "Together with their strong opinions and vision, I am confident that the advisory board can create a conference that will hit the industry's nerve."

October 12th, 2009UncategorizedThe Entertainment Software Rating Board has published ratings for five high profile third-party PlayStation Network games ahead of official announcements, including Konami's Metal Gear Solid and Capcom's Resident Evil.
Both titles, released in the late 1990s for the original PlayStation console, will be available for download on the PSOne Classics section of the PlayStation Store, if information provided by the ESRB proves to be accurate.
The board has also rated Take-Two Interactive's Spec: Ops: Covert Assault and Spec Ops: Ranger Elite, along with Ubisoft's Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six.
